More than £6,000 was raised for charity by the Llandovery Fire and Rescue Station charity ball.
The charity ball took place at the Castle Hotel on the evening of Saturday, October 8, which was well attended by many members of the community.
The money raised on the night was split between the Firefighters’ Charity, Wales Air Ambulance and Llandovery Hospital.
Tickets costed £45 for those attending, who received a four-course meal at the hotel and also got to enjoy the late-night disco.
An auction and raffle also took place on the night, raising the bulk of the money for the charities.
A spokesperson from Llandovery Fire and Rescue Station said: “A massive thank you to everybody that attended our 'charity ball' last night.
“The auction was a massive success along with our raffle.
“The support we received from you, as our community is much appreciated. We hope you all enjoyed as much as we did.
“A thank you also to our venue, the Castle Hotel, who provided a delicious 4 course meal and top service throughout the evening.”
Many local businesses got involved, and gave away vouchers as part of the raffle, including Three Horse Shoes, No7 Hair Salon, Café Tudor and Owl’s Nest Tea Room Diner.
Other prizes included bottles of whiskey, shiraz and prosecco, carveries at West End and Abercamlais, two paintings by local artist Mike Perry and a month of family membership at Llandovery Leisure Centre.
