Fire crews from Ammanford, Pontarddulais and Tumble were called out to a Carmarthenshire recycling centre last week.
The crews were called on the morning of Friday, October 14, to Browns Recycling Centre in Bynea, Llanelli.
The fire started after a significant amount of waste caught light, and local residents were warned to keep their doors and windows shut.
In total, fire crews from Ammanford, Pontarddulais, Tumble, Llanelli, Gorseinon, Swansea West and Swansea Central attended.

Once the fire was under control, contractors entered the vicinity to remove the waste for damping down.
Following that, the fire service worked alongside Natural Resources Wales “to ensure a robust strategy to prevent and monitor decontaminated water run off from the scene."
