A CARMARTHENSHIRE man appeared in court for three offences including assaulting a police officer in Ammanford.
Jonathan Atkins, 42, of Llys Gwenllian, Kidwelly, admitted assaulting a police officer in Ammanford at Llanelli Magistrates Court on October 12.
The offence took place on October 11. He was fined £180 and ordered to pay £104 surcharge and £85 costs.

He also admitted possessing a class B drug after being caught with 0.5g of cannabis on the same date in Llanelli. He was fined £80 for this offence and the drugs were confiscated and destroyed.
Atkins is also charged with being a vehicle driver and failing to provide a specimen for analysis. The offence is alleged to have been committed on the same date as the above charges where he is said to have failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.
He denies this charge and has been remanded on unconditional bail until the hearing at Llanelli Magistrates Court on October 20.
