Ammanford-born weatherman and presenter Owain Wyn Evans has shared an abusive letter recently sent to him, calling him “a raving puff.”
A viewer wrote to Owain, saying that the TV personality “put me off my meal,” due to Owain being so camp on screen.
Owain received the note and shared it on his social media, saying: “The vast majority of letters I get from people are so, so lovely.
“But I still find it bizarre that people take time to scrawl stuff like this onto a notepad and send it to me. Hope this camp pic doesn’t put you off any meals today dahlings!”
As he said he would, Owain attached a “camp pic” alongside the viewer’s letter, showing the Ammanford native atop his beloved drums.
Many have expressed their support for Owain, disregarding the note which some described as “hateful.”
Owain also received messages of support from BBC colleagues Jason Roman, Steve Saul and Rylan Clark-Neal.
Rylan joked he was “having a bad morning” and that he was the one who wrote the letter, to which Owain also jokingly replied: “All is forgiven babes I know what you’re like before your first coffee of the day xoxox”
