A number of speeding drivers from across the region have recently appeared in court.
Doreen Thompson, 61, of Brecon Road, Ystradgynlais, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 4.
She was caught on May 1 doing 47mph on Ynysmeudwy Road, Pontardawe where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £80, given five points on her licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Adrian Philip Locker, 65, of Dryslwyn, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 8.
He was caught on July 10 doing 36mph on Cockett Road, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £351, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £140 surcharge and £90 costs.
Daniel John Rees, 37, of Parklands Road, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 8.
He was caught on May 22 doing 49mph on Mumbles Road where the limit is 40mph. He was fined £242, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Paul Alan Jones, 38, of Ynysmeudwy Road, Ynysmeudwy, Pontardawe, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 9.
He was caught on June 3 doing 46mph on A4067 Godre-r-Graig where the limit is 40mph. He was fined £220, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
David Andrew Thomas, 40, of McKays, Llandybie, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on November 11.
He was caught on April 27 doing 86mph on the A48 Pensarn where the limit is 70mph. He was fined £115, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Christopher Jones, 64, of Argoed Road, Ammanford, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 10.
He was caught on May 5 doing 35mph on Pentwyn Road where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Melanie Jane Jones, 48, of Dyffryn Road, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 10.
She was caught on June 11 doing 44mph on North Road where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £295, given five points on her licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
