A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been given by the Met Office for the Amman, Towy and Swansea Valleys.
The weather warning is predicted to last from 3am in the early hours of Sunday, December 18 to 9pm that evening.
Much of the UK is included in the weather warning, including all of England excluding the south coast, the entirety of Scotland besides certain coastal areas, and all of Wales except for the very west and some northern regions.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “A period of snow will lead to some disruption to travel and other activities, before turning to rain later.

“Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
“Some rural communities could become cut off.
