The Llandeilo Youth Club officially opened its doors to youngsters from 11 years old onwards earlier this month in the Civic Hall, located in the town.
Youth worker Sioned Thompson and her team of volunteers held four sessions before Christmas, and they will be opening their doors again on Monday, January 9.
Dozens of youngsters enjoyed table football tournaments, card and board games, live music and pizza in the first session back.
Sessions will run every Monday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
There currently is no cost involved, as children just need to sign in and have their guardian fill in a registration form, which can be found by emailing the club at youthclubllandeilo@gmail.com.
“Thanks to our donors and sponsors,” said Llandeilo Children and Youth Society treasurer John Meredith Williams.
“Private and public support for the project has been great and made this important project possible.”
“The Civic Hall have been incredibly helpful and cooperative, too,” added chair Christoph Fischer.
“The location in the upstairs room proved very suitable and the kids attending all had a great time, as had we volunteers.”
Sioned said: “We’re getting more games and equipment as suggested by our guests. We have a lot more ideas for the New Year and as we grow as a group we can start planning into the future.”
