A PENSIONER was given a curfew and banned from driving after admitting causing death by careless driving.
Keith Evans, 79, of Plas Gwyn Road, Penygroes, admitted causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 5.
Evans admitted that on October 17, 2021, he caused the death of Hayden Ieaun Evans when he drove a silver Ford Kuga on the B4310 between Drefach and Porthyrhyd without due care and attention.
He was made subject of a six-month period of electronic curfew where he must reside at his address between 8pm and 8am each day.
He was banned from driving for five years and made subject of a one-year community order. He must also pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs.
