A MAN who failed to provide a blood sample at a police station in the Amman Valley has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Stephan George, 30, of Llys y Gof, Llanelli, was given a suspended prison sentence by Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 3 after admitting four offences.
He admitted that on January 1 in Ammanford, he failed to provide a sample as to whether he had drugs in his body after being arrested for taking a vehicle without consent.
He also admitted that on December 31, he failed to provide a blood sample for analysis and drove a Ford Focus on Frondeg Terrace in Llanelli without an insurance policy in place to cover the use of the vehicle.

He also admitted an offence of driving the car without reasonable consideration to other users of the road after colliding with two vehicles.
George was given a prison sentence of 18 weeks, suspended for 18 months due to previous conviction, a high level of impairment showed at the time and a deliberate refusal to provide samples.
It was suspended because the court believed there is a real prospect of rehabilitation. He was also ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and was banned from driving for 36 months.
He also had to pay £154 surcharge and £85 costs.
