AN AMMAN Valley hairdresser has been celebrating a fantastic 2022, after winning a number of awards.

Bedazzled Hair & Beauty on Wind Street in Ammanford won a number of awards last year including Best Hair Salon in the Welsh Hair and Beauty Regional Awards 2022.

The salon also won Colour Technician of the Year at the GB Hair Awards and Best Hair Extensions at the Salon UK Awards.

Lisa Jones-Powell, owner of Bedazzled Hair & Beauty, has been running the salon for 12 years.

The 37-year-old began her career in the hair and beauty industry at the age of 16.

She said: “I’m absolutely ecstatic. My goal was to become a multi award-winning stylist and after 12 years of running my salon in Wind Street, I finally won my first award.

“And then later became a multi award-winning stylist to finish off 2022.

“Without the help from my friends, family and clients this would not have been possible, so I’d like to thank each and every one of you that has made it possible for me to reach my goal.”

She continued: “I continue to grow because I absolutely love my job, I have true passion for hair and making my wonderful clients feel amazing every day.”

Earlier this year, Ms Jones-Powell became a hair loss specialist and offers this as an extra service.

“We often take for granted our lovely locks of hair, but we don’t realise how much this means to us as a person. I often get told that hair is like a comfort blanket, and because of this, I not only provide services of hair colour and extensions, but I also provide hair loss services.

“This means that everyone is able to achieve beautiful hair should they want to.”

2023 is also set to be a good year for Ms Jones-Powell and Bedazzled Hair & Beauty as she will find out next month whether she wins Hair and Makeup Salon of the Year at the Welsh Wedding Awards.
