A SWANSEA Valley church is providing safe and fun places for people of all ages.
St Cynog’s Church in Ystradgynlais is launching a number of activities including a warm hub and children’s events.
From Thursday, January 19, there will be a warm hub at the church between 11am and 1pm every Thursday. It will be open to anyone who is worried about staying warm at home or fancies getting out of the house.
There will be hot drinks on offer and the chance to have a chat, make new friends or read the paper.
There is also a new session starting for children on Wednesday, January 25. The church will be hosting Messy Church sessions at 4.45pm on Wednesdays were children and their parent or carer can have fun with carious activities and crafts which have a Bible story theme. There will also be stories, singing and snacks and drinks.

All age services are also being held on Sundays to encourage families to bring their children along to join in. The services are relaxed with Bible stories and simple prayers and children can also dress up and play a part in the telling of a Biblical story through drama.
The church will also be relaunching the Sunday School during the Sunday service and will be hosting a holiday club during the school holidays which lets children play, sing, dance and enjoy crafts. They can also splat the vicar!
St Cynog’s Church has a new interim vicar in Rev. Mark Thomas and hosts traditional services at 10.30am on Wednesday and 10.15am on a Sunday.
