A NUMBER of people have been in court recently on speeding charges.
The people are either resident in the Amman, Swansea or Towy Valleys or committed the offences in those valley.
Scott Adam Bennett, 28, of New Road, Dafen, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 9.
He was caught on June 20 doing 51mph in a Volkswagen Crafter on Cwmgwili, Cross Hands, where the limit is 30mph.
He was fined £369, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £147 surcharge and £90 costs.
Jason Barry Jones, 43, of Margret Street, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 9.
He was caught on June 21 doing 28mph in a Mitsubishi outside Betws Primary School, Ammanford, where the limit is 20mph.
He was fined £130, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £52 surcharge and £90 costs.
Shingirai Mupesa, 45, of Union Road, Romford, Essex, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 9.
He was caught on June 21 doing 79mph in a Mercedes-Benz on the A48 Cross Hands where the limit is 70mph.
He was fined £72, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £28 surcharge.
Colin Andrew Richardson, 76, of Great Western Avenue, Bridgend, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 9.
He was caught on June 21 doing 88mph in a Mitsubishi Outlander on the A48 Cross Hands where the limit is 70mph.
He was fined £55, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £22 surcharge and £90 costs.
Rebecca Humphreys, 32, of Varteg Road, Ystalyfera, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 9.
She was caught on July 4 doing 36mph in an Audi A3 on Ynysmeudwy Road where the limit is 30mph.
She was fined £40, given three points on her licence and ordered to pay £16 surcharge and £90 costs.

He was caught on July 8 doing 27mph in a Volkswagen LT35 – Tipper on Bolgoed Road, Pontarddulais, where the limit is 20mph.

He was caught on June 21 doing 41mph in a Vauxhall Meriva on the A474 Pontamman Road where the limit is 30mph.
He was fined £440, given four points on his licence and ordered to pay £176 surcharge and £90 costs.
George Thomas Richardson, 30, of Llandyfan, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 10.
He was caught on June 23 doing 39mph in a Honda CR-V on Hendre Road, Llangennech, where the limit is 30mph.
He was fined £146, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £58 surcharge and £90 costs.
Paul Nicholas Jones, 56, of Maen Gwyn, Cilmaengwyn, Pontardawe, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 10.
He was caught on June 13 doing 43mph in a BMW on Ynysmeudwy Road where the limit is 30mph.
He was fined £440, given four points on his licence and ordered to pay £44 surcharge and £90 costs.
He received no separate penalty after being found guilty of the offence of driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
