There was some paw-some work for Pontardawe firefighters recently when they rescued a dog that had accidentally fallen down a ravine.
Four-legged friend Maude had become trapped in the three-metre ravine on the Graig-y-Pal mountain when the crew were called to her rescue.
Maude had not been alone in her plight, as two other dogs had tumbled down the gully.

But while her canine pals were able to make their way out, Maude was unable to scramble to the surface and the fire crew was called.
They used rope rescue equipment to help bring Maude to safety and reunite her with her owner.
