WELSH poets and writers are able to enter the biggest poetry competition in Wales – which is being judged by a Tywi Valley poet.

The Welsh Poetry Competition is open for 2023 entries from people across the world to submit their finest English language poetry.

It is the 17th year that the competition has run and there are cash prizes for the winners.

Last year, the competition was won by Australian Jennifer Hetherington, with Cardigan’s Paul Hawkes coming in second place.
