AN Amman Valley man has been jailed for assaulting a police officer.
Jack Griffiths, 20, of Gwynfryn, Ammanford, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker at Llanelli Magistrates Court on February 16.
He admitted that on February 15, he assaulted a police officer in Ammanford by beating, which also involved a knife.
He was jailed for six months due to the use of the knife, his violent behaviour and encouragement of violence as well as previous convictions.
He also had to pay £150 compensation and £85 costs.
The knife was forfeited and destroyed.
