A CARMARTHENSHIRE resident has scooped up the top £1 million prize on a lottery instant win game.

The person – known only as Mr. W from Carmarthenshire – was playing the £1m Spin, Pick, Win Instant Win Game by the National Lottery and scooped the jackpot.

The National Lottery said the resident chose to release partial details on his win, stating that he plans to go on holiday and treat his family.

He is one of more than eight million players that win each week on the National Lottery’s games and interactive game winners have the option to release their details, remain anonymous or release some details like Mr W did.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Huge congratulations to Mr W for winning this fantastic prize. He can now go on a holiday of a lifetime thanks to his win and treat his family.”

Players can play online at www.national-lottery.co.uk, by downloading the National Lottery app or by buying tickets in retail outlets.

More than £30m is generated each week for National Lottery funded projects by players. The money helps a range of people and causes from local charities to helping athletes. More than £47 billion has been raised to date for National Lottery Good Causes and more than 670,000 individual grants have been awarded.
