BUDDING detectives will be in Ammanford next month to solve a murder mystery.
Ammanford Library will be hosting a murder mystery evening based on novels by an award-winning crime writer.
The event will focus on a special murder mystery script called The Darkest Evening which has been written by Ann Cleeves.
At the event, there will be witness statements and forensic reports based on the script, which will be read by Phoenix Theatre Group, with attendees turning into detectives to solve the whodunnit!
The confession will later be read, with the audience member who was closest to solving the murder winning two Carmarthenshire Theatre tickets.
Ann Cleeves is a North Tyneside-based author who is a member of the ‘Murder Squad’ which promotes crime fiction.
She was given the Duncan Lawrie Dagger for Best Crime Novel for her Raven Black book in 2006 and is the author behind ITV drama Vera and BBC One’s Shetland.
Prior to becoming a writer, she has worked as a probation officer, bird observatory cook and auxiliary coastguard.
The event will take place at Ammanford Library at 7.30pm on Thursday, June 22. Copies of Ann’s book will be available on the night.
