A PONTARDDULAIS man has been remanded in custody on a number of charges including criminal damage, intentional strangulation and stalking.
Brandon Farmer, 19, of Squirrel Walk, Fforest, Pontarddulais, faced eight charges at Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 13.
He was charged with one count of stalking involving serious alarm/distress when he is accused of stalking his victim between October 10, 2022, and April 4, 2023, with his conduct including monitoring her movements, making numerous and unwanted communications, attending her home address when unwanted and monitoring her home address and threatening to harm himself if she didn’t meet him.
He also faces a charge of criminal damage to a car belonging to the same victim which is said to have taken place on February 22.
He faces a charge of intentional strangulation relating to October 25 and a charge of assault by beating which is alleged to have taken place on February 20.
Farmer also faces a charge of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour for a period between April 1, 2022, and September 1 of the same year.
Some of the things he is accused of doing in that charge include monitoring the victims movements, numerous communications demanding to know her whereabouts and requesting to meet her, unwanted attendance at her home address and monitoring said address and verbal abuse including belittling her.
He is also accused of sending an electronic communication conveying a threatening message when he is alleged to have sent another victim a snapchat message saying about slitting her throat between February 1 and February 28, 2023.
He denies all the above charges but has pleaded guilty to one charge of criminal damage for damage to the aforementioned car which took place on April 3 this year.
He was arrested in Hendy on May 30 for breaking his bail condition and for this, his bail was revoked.
Farmer has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on July 13.
