A FUN show about frog plumbers is coming to Ystradgynlais and Pontardawe this summer.
Frogs in Bogs/Brogs y Bogs will bring families together for a fun, outdoor, interactive bilingual musical show aimed at primary school children but will also entertain their families.
The story sees superhero fugitive frog plumbers crack a clogging crime and defeat evil duck Cwac Ty Bach.
The frogs had been locked up for a contamination crime they didn’t commit but were able to escape into the city sewers, solving pollution related problems.
The show’s music is provided by Heledd Watkins and Sam Roberts (HMS Morris) and it was created by Carmarthenshire-based theatre company Familia De La Noche and is supported by the Arts Council of Wales.
Frogs in Bogs/Brogs y Bogs is suitable for those aged four and over and is presented bilingually and in Welsh only.
Familia promotes sustainability and the importance of looking after the environment, with the costumes and set aiming to be made out of 70 per cent recycled materials, including a giant fish that is made from plastic bags.
Despite being an outdoor show, there is an alternative indoor production if the weather is bad.
Frogs in Bogs/Brogs y Bogs will be at Ystradgynlais Welfare Hall on August 2 and Pontardawe Arts Centre on August 22 for more information and to book tickets, visit www.familiadelanoche.com
