AN HGV driver from Llandybie drove off after a crash and failed to report it.
Stuart Evans, 46, of Parc Y Llan, was involved in a crash on Goetre Fawr Road in Dunvant, Swansea, on November 16 last year.
Evans, Swansea Magistrates’ Court heard, did not stop following the crash, or report the crash to the police within 24 hours.
He pleaded guilty on June 6 to an offence of being a driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident who failed to report that accident, and being the driver of a vehicle that failed to stop after road accident.
Evans was made the subject of a one-year community order, as part of which he must complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
He must pay £85 in costs and a £114 surcharge, and had ten points added to his licence.
