A TOWY Valley agricultural show will take place this month.
The Llandeilo Show will be held at the Cawdor Field in Ffairfach, Llandeilo and is organised by the Llandeilo & District Agricultural & Horticultural Society.
The show will have a sheep shearing contest and a range of competitions including for horticulture, floral art, vegetables and fruit, children’s classes, cookery competitions, various sheep classes, cattle classes, pig classes, horse classes, show jumping, dogs and much more.
There will also be representatives from the Carmarthen team of the Farmers’ Union of Wales, where farmers can discuss issues and much more.
Ann Davies, chairwoman of FUW Carmarthenshire, said: “Local shows, such as Llandeilo show, are incredibly valuable. Not just to our way of life and through providing an opportunity to catch up with friends, but also in highlighting why farming matters.
“When we meet with our local politicians at the show, we will bring to their attention issues that affect the viability and sustainability of our family farms and I look forward to discussing not just the problems we face but also the solutions.”
Llandeilo Show will take place on Saturday, August 19.
