WITH the lovely weather that we are experiencing and are expected to experience, many families head out to walks to spend time in the fresh air and explore.
But some people may be hindered by some trails which may not be accessible to people with pushchairs or in wheelchairs.
National Trust Cymru has made a list of its accessible trails which are suitable for those who have wheelchairs or prams and have chosen a Carmarthenshire trail.
The trust says that Dinefwr is one of the most accessible. Between March and October, visitors can follow the accessible boardwalk through the medieval deer park’s bog woods, searching for fallow deer, otters and white tree creepers. It is a 500-metre route one way and leads to the historic and tranquil Mill Pond.
Newton House can also be visited by following the tarmac drive from the car park to the main gates, with a compacted gravel surface to the accessible ramp to enter the house. Inside the house, there is a small lift to the ground, first and basement floors and level access to the café.
