THREE long-serving volunteers at an Amman Valley charity were recently celebrated for their work.
Ioan Lewis, Dilys Richards and Arwel Davies have volunteered with the Amman Valley Hospital League of Friends as chairman, secretary and treasurer respectively for roughly 20 years.
Sadly, Mr Davies had died but was represented by his daughter Rhian Davies at the event at the hospital where a plaque was unveiled to commemorate the service of the three individuals.
In attendance on the sunny day of reveal were Mr Lewis, Mrs Richards and Ms Davies, alongside Councillor Kevin Madge who is vice-chairman of the Amman Valley Hospital League of Friends, Judith Hardisty who is vice-chairwoman of Hywel Dda University Health Board, staff from the health board and Amman Valley Hospital, and members of the hospital’s league of friends.
Ms Hardisty acknowledged the hard work done by the three individuals as the commemorative plaque was unveiled, with Cllr Madge adding his thanks and appreciation on behalf of the Amman Valley Hospital League of Friends before an afternoon tea that had been prepared specially for the event.
