Matthew Murphy, defending, said Beynon was driving a Proton Jumbuck towards where the complainant was standing outside their vehicle.
Mr Murphy said the defendant went to avoid the complainant who he said “had moved in to the carriageway”, but hit a vehicle.
A trial date was set for December 13, and Beynon was granted bail.
