A POPULAR one-man show will be coming to Carmarthenshire this festive season.
Brother Wolf will be bringing its award-winning show A Christmas Carol – As Told by Jacob Marley (deceased) to Llanelli’s Ffwrnes Theatre in December.
It is the 15th year that the production has toured with James Hyland as the man himself. It is adapted from Charles Dicken’s classic novel A Christmas Carol but told from the perspective of Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge’s deceased business partner. It is adapted and produced by Hyland.
The production won the Best Performer in Theatre at the Fringe Report Awards in 2012.
The hour-long performance follows the dead Jacob Marley who is condemned to an eternity of carrying a heavy chain, forged in life, but he can no longer return to his life and must recount the tale of his miserly business partner Ebenezer Scrooge and the path that leads to his redemption. Marley brings to life the story of how three magical spirits opened Scrooge’s eyes and made him realise the true value of love and forgiveness.
The costume designer was Nicki Martin-Harper and the music was created by Chris Warner.
A Christmas Carol – As Told by Jacob Marley (deceased) will be at Llanelli’s Ffwrnes Theatre on December 18 at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from www.theatrausirgar.co.uk or by calling 0345 2263510.
