TWO people were recently banned from driving.
Jonathan Dowdeswell, 54, of Tanyrallt Terrace, Tanyrallt, Abercrave, admitted drink driving at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on October 30.
He admitted that on September 30, he was driving a Nissan X-Trail on the A4067 Loop Road, Abercrave when over the drink drive limit with a breath alcohol level of 64 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath.
He was banned from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay £369 fine, £148 surcharge and £85 costs.
George Joseph James, 34, of Neville Street, Cardiff, was found guilty of driving without insurance by Cardiff Magistrates Court on October 30.
He was caught on July 18 driving a Volkswagen UP on the M4 westbound junction 28, Pontarddulais when there was no insurance policy in place to cover the use of the vehicle.
He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £660 fine, £264 surcharge and £90 costs. He received no separate penalty for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
