RESIDENTS and businesses in Carmarthenshire have just over a week left to have their say on the council’s new digital strategy.
The strategy – which will be launched in April – aims to help the council improve its service to residents and businesses and streamline operations to deliver more effective and efficient services.
As technological innovation is a major factor of the current era, governments need to adapt and embrace digital transformation. The digital strategy will set out the council’s vision for how residents, businesses, elected members, staff, partners and visitors continue to benefit from the ongoing adoption of emerging technology and transformation of services across our county.
The council wants residents to take part in the Shaping Carmarthenshire Public Consultation to provide an insight into the strategy and how it will benefit the public and the wide range of services offered by the council.
Cllr Darren Price, leader of the council, said: “We are embarking on an exciting journey to shape a new and innovative digital strategy for Carmarthenshire. We are living in an era of spectacular advancements in digital technology and it’s essential that we, as a local authority, remain ready to fully embrace this ever-evolving transformation.
“Your voice matters and your ideas can make a difference – so please get involved and have your say today.”
The consultation is open until Thursday, December 7 and can be accessed at https://www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/home/council-democracy/consultation-performance/current-consultations/shaping-digital-carmarthenshire/
