MOST people dream of a white Christmas every year but unfortunately for us, it rarely happens.
Earlier this month, there was some talk that a bit of a white Christmas could happen in parts of the UK, but the Met Office has now predicted that instead of a white Christmas, it will now be a wet Christmas across Ammanford, the Amman Valley, Towy Valley, Gwendraeth Valley and Swansea Valley.
Here is the predicted forecast at the time of writing (December 22) for various parts of the region:
Ammanford
The Met Office is predicting a wet Christmas Day for Ammanford, with rain forecast until around 6pm when it will dry up but remain cloudy. Temperatures are set to be between 9 and 11 degrees with winds reaching 31mph.
Glanaman
Like nearby Ammanford, the Met Office is predicting a wet Christmas Day for Glanaman, with rain forecast until around 6pm when it will dry up but remain cloudy. Temperatures are set to be between 9 and 11 degrees with winds reaching 31mph.
Llandeilo
Llandeilo is set to have less of a dry spell as rain is predicted for most of the day. It is set to dry up around 6pm but remain cloudy before the rain returns around 9pm. Temperatures are set to be between 9 and 11 degrees with winds reaching 29mph.
Llandovery
Like Llandeilo, Llandovery is set to have less of a dry spell as rain is predicted for most of the day, with some heavy rain forecast around 9am. It is set to dry up around 6pm but remain cloudy before the rain returns around 9pm. Temperatures are set to be between 9 and 11 degrees with winds reaching 27mph.
Cross Hands
Like Llandovery, Cross Hands is set to have less of a dry spell as rain is predicted for most of the day, with some heavy rain forecast around 9am. It is set to dry up around 6pm but remain cloudy before the rain returns around 9pm. Temperatures are set to be a bit colder, between 8 and 10 degrees with winds reaching 28mph.
Pontardawe
Pontardawe is set to have less of a dry spell as rain is predicted for most of the day. It is set to dry up around 11pm but remain cloudy. Temperatures are set to be between 9 and 11 degrees with winds reaching 31mph.
