A SPECIAL St David’s celebration concert will be held in Ammanford later this month.
The St David’s Celebration Concert will take place at the Glowyr Theatre in Ammanford and is the 10th year that the theatre has been celebrating St David’s Day in partnership with Theatrau Sir Gâr and Loud Applause Productions.
The annual event is popular with audiences in Carmarthenshire and from further afield and this year seems to be no exception.
Performing at the concert this year will be a range of Welsh musical talent including renowned singer Steffan Hughes who is also manager of the Welsh from the West End group. There will also be performances from Meibion Elli, a new male voice choir based in Llanelli, and Parti Merched Ysgol Dyffryn Amman which features young singers from across the local area. It will be hosted by Heddyr Gregory.
The concert will be bilingual, with Heddyr hosting in both English and Welsh.
The St David’s Celebration Concert will take place at Ammanford’s Glowyr Theatre on Thursday, February 29 at 7pm. Tickets cost £14.50 or £12.50 and are available at www.theatrausirgar.co.uk or by calling 0345 2263510 between 10am and 3pm, Tuesday to Saturday, or from Ammanford Library during its opening hours.
