Internationally acclaimed Dutch violinist and composer Tim Kliphuis is set to perform with the Tim Kliphuis Trio at Llangadog Community Centre in March.
Having just debuted their new album 'Pictures at an Exhibition', in Edinburgh, the Tim Kliphuis Trio is out on tour and Llangadog is their first stop on March 12.
Formed by Tim, guitarist Nigel Clark, and double-bassist Roy Percy, the trio promises to take audience on a musical journey through their reworks of Modeste Mussorgsky's 19th-century masterpiece.
Kliphuis's unique style pays homage to Mussorgsky while also drawing inspiration from varied artists like Gustav Klimt and Georgia O’Keeffe.
This performance will be an intriguing experience as it "will change every time it is performed", given the trio's penchant for expert improvisation.
Into his third decade of professionally creating music, Kliphuis shows no signs of slowing down, recently being invited to the United Nations General Assembly to open the Water Conference.
Full event details can be found at the local outlets, on the door, and online at TicketSource.
Tickets are priced at £15 and £10, and the doors open at 6pm for a 7.30pm start.
