Ammanford siblings have been recognised for their work in the building materials industry.
The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) and Builders' Merchants News (BMN), a national trade body, have declared Rachel and Ben Davies among the "Top 100 Young Achievers" in the sector.
The duo are joint managing directors at LBS Builders Merchants Ltd; their nominations were for their career successes and the positive impacts they've had on the industry.
Rachel expressed her delight over her inclusion in the list, saying: "This is a fantastic sector to work in and this really highlights the amazing career opportunities across our industry for so many different skillsets.
"I’m proud to represent Team LBS, and my name wouldn’t be on this list if it wasn’t for the amazing team I’m supported and surrounded by."
Meanwhile, Ben conveyed gratitude for the honour of being recognised as a Top 100 Young Achiever.
"This is a great industry and it is good to see that we young people are seen to be having an impact.
"I've grown up in this industry and it's provided me great opportunities," he said.
The Top 100 Young Achievers programme comes on the heels of last year’s Top 100 Merchant Influencers and Top 100 Supplier Influencers in 2022 and 2023.
John Newcomb, chief executive of the BMF, stressed the organisation's commitment to young workers, stating: "The BMF is an active supporter of young people working within the building materials supply sector and this initiative celebrates the contributions of those who will carry the industry forward in the future."
"This accolade reflects the positive influence Rachel and Ben have had on the people around them and on the wider building materials industry," Newcomb added.
To celebrate their accomplishments, the Top 100 Young Achievers are set to be featured in a commemorative brochure.
They are then invited to a gala dinner celebration and networking event at the Belfry in May.
The BMF symbolises more than 950 merchant and supplier companies hiring collectively more than 208,000 individuals, playing an indispensable role in distributing construction materials and home improvement products across the UK.
