A road in the Pontardawe area will be closed in April.
Dyffryn Road, Alltwen is set for temporary closure under orders by the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.
The closure, is part of the council's plans to facilitate works by Openreach and subsequent Highway Authority works in the road.
Scheduled to come into force on April 2, 2024, the order could last up to a maximum of 18 months or conclude when the works are finished, whichever comes first.
However, it is expected that the work, which calls for certain sections of the road to be inaccessible, will take just one day to complete.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes via the unaffected section of Dyffryn Road, Alltwen Hill, and the A474 during this period.
Despite the road closure, emergency service providers and pedestrians will continue to have access throughout.
The council has made the order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
