There will be a number of events to help improve numeracy in adults across Carmarthenshire.
Open day events, set to take place in various locations throughout April, will promote the Multiply programme delivered by Coleg Sir Gar and Coleg Ceredigion.
These free training events, focused on empowering adults aged 19+ lacking a GCSE grade c/4 or above, are financially backed by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity fund.
Through interactive workshops designed to make mathematics engaging, the programme aims to increase confidence with numbers and improve money management skills.
The open days also provide a unique opportunity for attendees to meet the Multiply team and engage in discussions about the classes that are set to change lives.
Multiply coordinator Lianne Cuke said: "We know that many people wish they could improve their confidence with numbers and maths but aren’t sure how they can build the skills they need.
"Our traveling open days are designed to ensure that as many people as possible are aware of the free support that’s available to them with Multiply."
She further conveyed the transformative potential of these classes for people's everyday life and work opportunities.
The events will take place from 10am till 2pm, on the following dates and locations: April 3 at Rhys Prichard Memorial Hall, Llandovery. April 4 at Pontyates Welfare Hall, Pontyates. April 10 at Whitland Memorial Hall, Whitland. April 16 at Llandeilo Fawr Civic Hall, Llandeilo. April 24 at Brechfa Church Hall, Brechfa. May 1 at Llansawel Hall, Llandeilo.
