The Carmarthenshire MP has met with a broadband agency responsible for helping to bring high speed broadband to the region.
This week, MP Jonathan Edwards sat down with Building Digital UK (BDUK), the group that aids in extending fast, dependable broadband and mobile coverage to hard-to-reach places across the United Kingdom.
During this meeting, Mr Edwards pointed out cases within the constituency that were assured a connection by alternative internet providers, Broadway, before it went into administration.
Jonathan Edwards MP said: "My constituents in the areas of Dyffryn Cennen and Ffairfach, Llanegwad, Llanfihangel Aberbythych, Abergwili and Pontargothi have been left bitterly disappointed following the collapse of Broadway Partners.
"They were dealt a further blow when Voenus stated they would not be continuing work in these areas as planned.
"It seems only right to me that these areas should be placed on top of the list for the next 'lot' by whoever is awarded the contract following the procurement process.
"Community organisers have worked hard to get residents signed up to the scheme and it would be a real shame for this work to go to waste.
"I will continue to put pressure on the Government to ensure these areas are connected as soon as possible."
