A family friendly theatre performance will be coming to Swansea next year as Bing's Birthday Live hits the stage.
Independent creative studio Acamar Films and London-based production company, Fierylight, have disclosed their latest partnership is a live performance, Bing’s Birthday, set to grace various UK theatres throughout 2025.
The family-friendly show will be presented at Swansea Grand Theatre on May 21 and 22, 2025.
The show's premise revolves around Bing's birthday, together with his friends Sula, Pando, Coco, Amma, and Flop as they heart-warmingly prep up his unique day.
Not going exactly to plan, Bing, with the help of Flop and his friends, turns the day into a memorable one.
Packed with songs, laughter, and endless fun, the audience is invited to join in the birthday fun in the theatre.
Bing has entertained young kids across the globe for more than a decade, mirroring the blissful and sometimes chaotic actuality of pre-school life.
Bing's engaging narratives, seen through the lens of a child, equip young children with mental, emotional, and social developmental tools to prepare them for life.
The beloved character is accessible to watch on CBeebies, BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video and Bing: Watch, Play Learn.
It has amassed more than 7 billion streams on YouTube and has achieved more than 1 billion streams on BBC iPlayer, making it one of the most-watched series nationwide across all genres on the platform.
After a triumphant run of the production across the Netherlands and Poland, the UK tour of Bing's Birthday is brought to life by Fierylight in collaboration with Acamar Films.
Kirsty Southgate, director of experiential and promotions at Acamar Films, said: "Fierylight are experts at bringing high quality, meaningful and entertaining productions to UK families and we are delighted to be working with them on Bing's Birthday."
She added: "A child’s first trip to the theatre is a very special occasion and this show, with the beautiful puppetry and original music, is sure to provide an unforgettable experience for Bingsters and their grown-ups."
Martin Ronan, executive producer at Fierylight said: "Bing’s Birthday is full of the excitement, expectation and heightened emotions that you would expect to find at a young child’s birthday party.
"This opportunity for celebration and exploring feelings which can sometimes be difficult to describe, makes this show unlike anything else available to UK families and it is no surprise that the show has been cherished by so many across Europe.
"We cannot wait to share this production across the UK."
