Time is running out for Carmarthenshire residents to have their say on housing in the county.
Carmarthenshire County Council is in the process of determining how social homes are distributed, with the consultation closing on May 31.
The revision comes after a successful pilot of the Emergency Allocations Policy which was introduced last year.
This inclusive approach aims to allocate homes based on pressing needs and community ties, while redefining applicants under a 'no preference' group and requiring biannual re-registration.
On the agenda are changes to urgent housing need definitions, direct matching of properties to highly needy applicants, and priority allocations for those with community links.
Cllr Linda Evans Davies, cabinet member for homes said: "There is still time to have your say on the way social housing is allocated in Carmarthenshire.
"The adoption of the Emergency Allocations Policy in 2023 has enabled us to help those in greatest need more quickly, with residents directly matched with a suitable property.
"We now need the views of residents to help us shape the existing Allocations Policy, which will include important updates to the way homes are allocated."
