A special drop-in event to help businesses will take place in Pontardawe.
Neath Port Talbot Council has announced three town centre business engagement events aimed at helping local businesses get crucial information on grants, support, and resources to thrive.
These events - which include one in Pontardawe - will give town centre business owners an opportunity to engage directly with council officers and key services such as town centre support, safer NPT, and the business and economic development team.
Council leader, Cllr Steve Hunt, will attend all three events to discuss the challenges faced by those running businesses such as cafes, pubs and shops, and the support available to them.
Business operators will explore various funding and grant opportunities, receive personalised advice, and discover other ways the council can support their businesses.
The first event will take place in Pontardawe on June 4, from 5pm to 7pm at Pontardawe Arts Centre.
Then two days later, Port Talbot on June 6, from 5pm to 7pm at the Princess Royal Theatre.
The final event will be in Neath on June 18, from 5pm to 7pm at The Gwyn Hall.
Although the events are being held in specific venues, they're open to business operators from any of Neath Port Talbot’s town and village centres including Ystalyfera, Skewen, Glynneath, Cwmavon, and many others.
Cllr Hunt expressed his enthusiasm for the events. He said: "This initiative is part of the council's ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant and prosperous business community throughout Neath Port Talbot."
He added that the council is dedicated to ensuring businesses have the resources needed to succeed.
Cllr Hunt added: "These events will be a chance for business operators to get help and advice directly from the council and our partner organisations and to provide us with feedback about the conditions facing our hard working business operators."
The council’s regeneration team, licencing, trading standards, food and health protection, safer NPT, and other key figures will also be present.
Although booking in advance is endorsed, walk-ins are equally welcome. The events are free to attend.
