A MAN is accused of defrauding potential business partners out of £80,000.
Andrew James, 57, of Station Road in Ystradgynlais, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with fraud by false representation between August 2018 and August 2020.
James was accused of telling the complainants he was going to be buying the Spar store on Lammas Street in Carmarthen for £160,000, and he offered them an equal partnership in the business for £80,000.
The prosecution alleged James had agreed a price of £50,000 with the previous owners of the store.
