A MAN has denied stealing more than £16,000 from The Food Warehouse and breaking in to the store to take a CCTV system and money.
Richard Lewis, 37, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with theft by an employee and burglary.
It was alleged that Lewis stole £16,155 from The Food Warehouse whilst he was employed by the company on between July 1 and December 1 in 2021.

He was also alleged to have entered The Food Warehouse in Cross Hands as a trespasser on December 17, 2021, and stole a CCTV system and £818.03 in cash.
Lewis, of Cwmfelin Way in the Waun Wen area of Swansea, pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The defendant was re-admitted to bail, and will face a trial from January 13, 2025.
