Ammanford Community Theatre will be performing a brand new comedy play this June.
The drama - called The Near Mrs - showcases the humorous problems of Bill Thomas, a man devoted to his two families.
Both families, unexpectedly, end up living next door to each other, with Bill striving to keep both households blissfully unware of each other's existence.
The situation intensifies hilariously on Valentine's day, with both families demanding Bill's affection and a home-cooked meal simultaneously.
Played out on a split-stage at The Miners' Theatre, the audience will be taken by Bill's slapstick efforts to prevent his confusing world from unravelling.
This side-splitting drama is another world premiere for the town of Ammanford, penned and directed by Dave Jenkins of Ammanford Community Theatre.
Uniquely, this comedy plays out in a setting familiar to its audience, as the town itself is the backdrop.
The play adds a new dimension to the theatre experience as the stage is divided into two to depict the dual households concurrently.
The narrative switches from one home to the other, matching the unfolding events in the story.
Come and relish the laughter at The Miners' Theatre from Thursday, June 20 through to Saturday, June 22, with performances starting at 7.30pm.
Adult tickets are £10 and concessions cost £8. Tickets are available from Ammanford Library or the Theatrau Sir Gar website and box office.
