A Veterans Day was held at the Owl's Nest Tearoom and Diner in Llandovery on Saturday (June 22).

The popular venue on the outskirts of the town, which is a magnet for motorcyclists, staged the event for the second year in a row.

Supporting veterans charities and the veterans community the Owl's Nest worked with the Llandovery Branch of the Royal British Legion to put on the event.

It was an opportunity for veterans to chat, relax, reconnect and reunite and also for the community to thank them for everything they have done and the sacrifices made.

As well as the local British Legion and their Riders Branch other charities present included the local Riverside Retreat Veterans Camp in Llandeusant, Help the Heroes, Scotty's Little Soldiers, Valley Veterans and newly formed Welsh mental health awareness charity Motorbiker Acts of Random Kindness (MARK).

There was also a display of vintage military vehicles and a chance to test your skills with the WRU rugby stand.
