A MAN accused of threatening two people with a knife has admitted affray.

Popovici was accused of threatening two people with a knife at an address in Ammanford on February 1.

He had previously denied both of these charges.

Popovici was also charged with affray, as he was accused of using or threatening unlawful violence relating to that same incident.

He pleaded guilty to the offence.

Prosecutor Caitlin Brazel told the court that this plea was acceptable, and that the Crown Prosecution Service would no longer seek a trial on the knife offences.

Scott Bowen, for Popovici, said the defendant was previously of clean character.

Judge Catherine Richards ordered the defendant to return to court to be sentenced on July 16 and ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Popovici was remanded back in to custody until that date.
