A REPEAT shoplifter has admitted stealing alcohol, perfume, hair straighteners, and a barbecue.
David Nicklin, 34, of High Street in Ammanford, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court charged with ten offences.
Nicklin was accused of eight offences of shoplifting – all from shops in Ammanford, one of obstructing a police officer, and one of failing to surrender to bail.

He was accused of stealing £49.50 of alcohol from Iceland on February 22, “various items” from Boots on March 9, hair straighteners worth £100 from Boots, and three bottles of perfume worth a total of £53 from Allied Pharmacy.
Nicklin was also charged with stealing a barbecue from Lidl on May 28, two bottles of spirits from Tesco on June 17, and perfume from Boots on July 1.
The defendant was accused of wilfully obstructing a police officer in Ammanford on July 1.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to bail on May 3, and was fined £60.
Nicklin was charged with another offence of shoplifting, relating to two bottles of perfume worth £130 from Boots in Ammanford on March 26, however this was dismissed.
Having appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on July 3, Nicklin was remanded in to custody. He will next appear at Swansea Crown Court on August 2.
