AN AMMAN Valley teenager went on a five-day offending spree, assaulting a police officer, attacking two people, and damaging property.

The 16-year-old – who cannot be named due to their age – appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court charged with six offences.

The teenager was accused of attacking someone and damaging an internal wall and a door at a property in Ammanford on July 5.

They were also alleged to have attacked a police officer on July 7 in Llandysul.

The defendant was also charged with attacking a man and damaging a table at the same Ammanford property on July 9.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard that the teenager was also accused of damaging a window at a property in Abertillery in Blaenau Gwent on March 18.

Appearing the dock on two occasions over July 9 and 10, the defendant pleaded guilty to assault of an emergency worker, common assault, assault by beating, and three offences of criminal damage.

The case was adjourned for the preparation of a pre-sentence report. The teenager was granted bail, as part of which they were made the subject of a curfew between 7pm and 8am.

They will return to Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on July 30 to be sentenced.
