A Llandeilo bakery will be selling its fresh-baked goods at Dinefwr estate throughout August.

National Trust Dinefwr and Pitchfork & Provision have teamed up to provide visitors with a month-long offer.

From August 3 to 31, Dinefwr’s brand-new Oak Yard play space will see Pitchfork & Provision deliver a range of handmade artisanal foods.

The month-long offer will see visitors treated to hand-crafted pastries, cakes and homemade savoury items prepared by Pitchfork & Provision.

Made using the best Welsh ingredients, these offerings will include filled focaccia and sausage rolls, served daily between 10.30am and 4.30pm.

To kickstart this exciting new relationship, an evening of fine food, wine and ales will be held in Dinefwr’s Oak Yard on August 2, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

The partnership wraps up with another celebration August 30, a second evening of shared plates and Pitchfork flatbreads.

Meg Anthony, National Trust Cymru general manager for Carmarthenshire & Ceredigion, said: "We’re thrilled to be able to host this partnership at Dinefwr this August.

"Pitchfork & Provision’s ethos compliments our offer and showcases the full-circle sustainability of produce from National Trust sites; appearing on the menu will be produce from Dolaucothi tenant farmers, Glasbren at Lord’s Park Farm, Dinefwr estate and the garden at Llanerchaeron."

Gareth Purcell from Pitchfork & Provision said: "We’re delighted to have an opportunity to work with such an amazing charity.

"Being able to showcase our artisan produce in such a beautiful setting is very exciting and it’s a fantastic partnership given how our respective ethos aligns.

"We always try and use local and or Welsh ingredients where possible, being able to incorporate produce from National Trust sites into our recipes is fantastic harmony."

Alongside this, the newly launched Oak Yard offers a stimulating play space for children’s imaginations to flourish, featuring a maze, performance stage, and a second-hand bookshop.
