A community drop in event will happen for a second time following a successful first event at The Civic Hall.
On August 20 from 11am to 1pm, Llandeilo Town Council and Llandeilo Community Action Hub are offering free tea, coffee and biscuits to residents.
The event will also consist of support groups to provide practical advice about health, wellbeing, housing, legal issues and carer’s support.
Councillor Kate Glanville said: “If they can have a cup of tea and a chat at the same time all the better.
“The first session was a great success. There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere in the hall with lots of people calling in to see what was going on and finding answers or support. We hope to build on this success with the next session on the 20th.”
Some of the organisations set to attend include Nacro Housing Related Support, Carmarthenshire Conflict Resolution Service, Stroke Association, Advocacy West Wales, Cyfle Cymru, Age Cymru Dyfed, Community Development Outreach Team.
Attendees can learn more about the community groups and activities available in the area.
Robert Ramsaha-Southall from NACRO added: “Our work is to connect people with support and opportunities available to them.”
The refreshments will be provided by Llandeilo WI and CK supermarket have helped to fund the event.
Furthermore, Carmarthen new MP Ann Davies is set to hold a surgery there while Llandeilo County Councillor Edward Thomas and mayor Charlotte Morgan will be there to answer questions.
The following community drop-in sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, September 17 and Tuesday, October 15.
