A dream wedding has been offered as an auction prize which will help benefit a Brynamman-based charity.
The Oldwalls Collection, one of the leading wedding specialists in Wales, has joined forces with the Child of Wales Awards 2024.
They have pledged to donate all funds raised from their exclusive wedding package prize to the charities 2Wish Cymru and Joseph’s Smile.
The wedding package includes a ceremony and reception venue for up to 200 guests (80 in the day, 120 in the night), a three-course meal, evening street food, and much more, all worth more than £15,000.
Joseph’s Smile aims to ease the burden of fundraising for families who have children needing treatment for serious illnesses and provides wiggly vests to children with cancer who have a Hickman line.
The charity was founded by Katy Yeandle from Brynamman who experienced the struggles of fundraising for her son Joseph's treatment after he was diagnosed with an aggressive neuroblastoma and wants to support families.
She said: "The fundraising effort was incredibly tough and took away precious time from my boys, at a time when they needed us most.
"This hugely generous gift from Oldwalls Gower will make a massive difference in our fight to do just that and we cannot thank them enough for their kindness and enormous generosity."
2Wish Cymru offers support to families affected by the sudden death of a child.
"It is an honour to support these incredible independent local charities which are committed to supporting children and families through the most challenging of times," said Andrew Hole, founder and managing director of Oldwalls Gower.
Child of Wales Awards founder, Blanche Sainsbury, said: "On behalf of the Child of Wales Awards, thank you to the Hole family, their teams, and all the suppliers involved.
"This generous auction prize will make a huge difference to 2Wish Cymru, Joseph’s Smile, and the families they support.
"We wish all the bidders good luck."
The wedding venue has been at the forefront of the wedding industry for more than a decade and recently underwent a £250,000 transformation.
It now offers packages spanning up to three days.
People are encouraged to bid for the chance to win this wedding and help the charities at the same time.
