A TEENAGER who was arrested on suspicion of sending threatening messages online referencing the knife attack at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman will face no further action.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested in the Cross Hands area in the early hours of Thursday, April 25 following reports of threatening messages being sent on social media.

The previous day, Ysgol Dyffryn Aman was placed in to lockdown after two teachers and a teenager were taken to hospital with stab wounds. A girl, now 14, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and is due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on Monday, August 12.

The three injured people received treatment for knife wounds, but were all discharged from hospital shortly afterwards.

Following the teenage boy's arrest, superintendent Ross Evans said Dyfed-Powys Police had received several reports from members of the public raising concerns about messages they had seen online following the incident.

However, following a police investigation, it has now been confirmed that he will face no further action.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “The 15-year-old male arrested in Cross Hands during the early hours of Thursday morning (April 25), following reports about threatening messages relating to Ysgol Dyffryn Aman, has been released with no further action following a police investigation.”
