The reopening of a local community hall was a huge success with the venue being refurbished and free from damage.
Last Tuesday (August 6), Bro Ryan Hall in Glanamman opened its doors to the public from 10am to 2pm almost two years after the facility was destroyed by a leak.
The relaunch was organised by Age Cymru Dyfed, and the event saw several locals attend.
Cllr Emyr Rees said: "Today's reopening event in Bro Ryan Hall has been emotional. Seeing the place filled with smiling friendly faces and hearing laughter once more in the hall was so heartwarming.
"This will hopefully be the beginning of a second lease of life for the hall. As this is vital to the residents of Bro Ryan - somewhere they can socialise again, especially when winter comes and the nights are long. Preparations are already underway for more events.
"I would like to add a massive thank you to Age Cymru Dyfed for all their work in making this event better than I anticipated and a huge thank you to all that came to offer help and support to the residents."
Residents also received valuable support from organisations such as Shadows, Adferiad and the Age Cymru Dyfed team.
Age Cymru Dyfed added: "We are proud to have been involved in organising something so special for the residents of Bro Ryan.
"We look forward to being able to join with the planned activities as well as continuing to support the residents of Bro Ryan and the wider community.
