The giant banana split will be returning to Ammanford again this year.
This is part of a nationwide celebration for Fairtrade Fortnight, which marks 30 years since the first Fairtrade products hit UK stores.
The massive fairtrade feast will take place on September 20, at the Plaza, College Street Arcade, which will be packed with stalls and activities.
The split has been a long-standing tradition in Ammanford since 2009, with the event taking a hiatus in 2020 due to covid-19 and not returning until May last year.
Phil Broadhurst, a member of the town's Fairtrade Group, said: "If you buy a Fairtrade product you know that no-one has been abused or exploited in providing that product.
"You know that they've been paid fairly, and also the extra money they earn from the Fairtrade Premium allows producers to support their wider communities, investing in things like better healthcare or education provision or more sustainable ways of farming and living."
The Giant Fairtrade Banana Split is the brainchild of the Ammanford Fair Trade Town Group. Ammanford Church, and Gellimanwydd Chapel volunteers have helped to organise it, with all ingredients donated by the Co-op stores.
Wales's first Fairtrade Town, Ammanford, has been championing ethically-sourced products since 2002, and plans for Grand Fairtrade Day are in full swing.
More details regarding the stalls and organisations set to attend the event will be revealed come September.
